About the Opportunity
FMI’s Consulting Group is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with solid consulting skills to join its growing team. This is a full-time position that requires significant (70-80%) travel and will be based in Tampa, Florida.

Responsibilities include:

  • Consulting and interacting with people at all levels across a client organization, including senior-level executives
  • Overseeing multiple engagements with multiple clients simultaneously
  • Assessing client needs, writing proposals, determining project plans, managing client expectations and developing client solutions
  • Delivering presentations, facilitating groups and providing training on various topics
  • Ensuring superior customer service through follow-up, client responsiveness and customer-focused communication
  • Providing expert input and contributing to the development of new programs, solutions and consulting models
  • Preparing articles for publication in industry publications
  • Significant travel (70-80%) required

Successful candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • MBA from a top-tier university required; Bachelor’s degree in engineering or building construction a plus
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience and strong consultative skills in at least two of the following areas: strategic planning, marketing/business development, organizational development
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to gain and retain the attention and involvement of sophisticated and challenging audiences
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
  • Construction experience a plus
